Description Hall table with drawer / Desk.

Design Table is individual and unique design hand made in Tasmania. No two items are exactly the same with at least different combinations of timber. Table top is fixed at front but has a sliding mechanism at the rear to allow for timber movement due to expansion and contraction.

Construction Table top consists of random widths of silky oak and Huon pine in alternate strips. Body is celery top pine with blackwood front. Drawer is of blackwood with celery top pine front. Legs are myrtle. Table is all solid naturally grown Tasmanian timbers (no veneer).

Although silky oak is not a timber native to Tasmania, the timber used in this table was grown at Sister's Beach.

Finish There are no coloured wood stains used - only oil and wax. The table is finished in three coats of Wattyl Estapol Interior Mat plus two coats od Scandinavian Oil. The top is further polished with natural Traditional Wax.

Dimensions Top is 690mm wide and 460mm front to back.The top is 775mm above floor level. Legs are 845mm tall. Maximum width (front) is 1000mm. Drawer is 495mm wide, 340mm front to back and 80mm deep.

Taking care of your table Wipe over with a clean dry cloth. If finish ever need rejuvenating, apply a light coat of wax polish and polish with dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight as much as possible and keep dry. Over time the colour of the timber will change - this is normal. With proper care this table should last at least a lifetime.
